Shape-HF™ Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing System
The Shape-HF Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing System measures respiratory airflow and the constituent respiratory gases, oxygen and carbon dioxide. The system comes complete with:
- A laptop computer and associated components;
- Specially designed software for data acquisition and analysis;
- A proprietary gas analyzer system; and
- A pulse oximeter.
A disposable patient interface and sensor coupling has been designed expressly for use with the Shape-HF system. A color printer, cart, and stair step exerciser are available as options.
Reproducible, High Quality Data Automatically
The Shape-HF system uses a proprietary technique to give the highest possible data resolution. This technology incorporates ambient pressure and temperature sensors and software algorithms that are used to calibrate the analysis process in real time during a test to correct for possible environmental changes.
Simple, Quick, Intuitive
The Shape-HF system is easy to use. A unique feature of the gas exchange monitoring system is the automatic, real time calibration feature that eliminates the need for separate, time consuming, and technically difficult calibration, as is commonly required in other CPX systems on the market.
The intuitive patient setup menus make it easy to enter patient data. Patient data and acquired test results are stored in a comprehensive database that can be retrieved and reviewed at any time. The Shape-HF system is operated by simple mouse clicks on icons shown on the computer screen. Test results are displayed as simple, easy to understand graphs that are summarized in a final report.
